I think all smfforfree site/servers should have an option to root admins should have an option to delete their own forums if they don't want their forums anymore.

It's only fair to give that option because what if any owner doesn't want thier forums,they should have an option to delete thier own forums,if they don't want it and don't want to be on the list.


i think it would be a great idea to have that option.

As SMF for Free has stated that option will not be offered.   There are good reasons for not doing so.
The forum can be put into Maintenance mode.   No one will be able to see its content or use it.

And I don't think the directory is used to much anyway, so people wouldn't get to it that way, and it wouldn't matter if it was in maintenance mode.


And you could just abandon it too.

A big reason to this would most likely be this:

User deletes forum. User wants forum back. User can't get the forum back.

If you put it into maintenance mode, the root account can always log back in somehow.
