Customizeable page content
« on: April 01, 2007, 07:33:37 pm »
I think allowing board owners the ability to add customized code and scripts to their pages would be VERY useful.I have several small javascripts I like to use to cycle FYI's and other announcements with and have no way of adding them to my site's headers, footers nor the body of any pages.Having premade templates to choose from is great, but you should have a edit feature to allow one to tinker with the headers and scripts being used as well as tinker with colors etc to make the forum uniquely one's own.

There is also:

Manage Styles/Create Style

You can create your own stylesheet and give your forum its own individual look.

It is how all the user created stylesheets (created by SMFforFree members) were created as well as many more here:

http://www.smfsupport.com/support/stylesheet_codes_and_help-b7.0/

You can also go to:

Manage Styles/Customize Images  And replace many of the images there with your own

If not for the ability to do so all of our forums would look exactly like this one does  ;)

I'd say for a FREE service SMF gives us quite alot here.
