We were thinking about making another custom tab on our site 8), but then we noticed you can only name it and link it to another site.  What we mean is we want to make another webpage for our site and being able to set permisions on them.
Tell us what you think. :smiley6600: We like the idea!
create a webpage and then put the link in the tab

This was from your original question in the thread:

What we mean is we want to make another webpage for our site and being able to set permisions on them.

No.. there really isnt a way to do that.   Like I said you could utilize a board.. make a tab that goes to the board.  You can set permissions for the board.     I know its not what you are looking to do but there is not a way to create a webpage that uses the boards permissions and custum tabs does not have permissions settings.

Can't a portal do similar to this?
Yes.  A portal can, but it only does a homepage.

If you wanted the tab to be hiden from guests you could use the script that can be found here:
http://www.smfsupport.com/support/smf_for_free_codes/code_hide_the_help_tab-t7601.0.html

If you want more advanced permissions you will need to do what Sibyl said.

Lawrence - thank you... totally forgot Celebrus had created that code

make sure to use the SECOND code in the instructions - the first one hides the tabs from everyone
