live chat rooms
« on: September 29, 2007, 10:20:27 am »
hi ya dont know if this is already available on free smf though i know theyre on the non free sites , but a download for a chat room would be good , one that links to the forum and users the same name that your members use , and has a bit at the bottom that say how many are in the chat room...
I could reaaaaaaaalllly do with this :)
I know it makes it slow but id like the option :D

No, there isnt an "SMF" chat for our forums. You will have to pretty much use the one you have, or whatever you can find.

with www.geesee.com you can place a small banner in your footers that tells how many people are in the room. They give you the premade code for it after you create your chat room.

I have 2 chatrooms on my forum, One for members (It's in a board that guests can't access),and one from geesee for staff(in a board that only staff can see).My board is working fine. Did you embed the whole chatroom or use the code they provide you for a button?

yes i can get there , just when i go to manage boards ect i need to modify my forum called listen to this , where i accidently put the code in rather than in the description area where i suppose it should have gone , but there is no modify option there , there is for the forum above called please read , but nothing is under listen to this , just like on the forum, my members can only see please read and thats it :(
all i should be able to do is take off the code and put it in the right place but i dont have the option ..is there any sort of time smf come on?
