Depends on what you want to do.

The link Seldom posted to you shows how to do it using css color codes.   That means scrapping the images and using css for the background color, borders, fonts instead of images.    It works very well, follow the directions carefully.

Go down a couple of posts in that thread.
I put the css code there, and explanations of each area in the css.
Go to the area where it shows the main and active tabs in the code.  
You will see there how that menu bar is set up, the images, the code etc.

It is helpful if you know how to do css coding... there is no easy way to explain this.  w3schools.com is an excellent resource.
