User Pages?

I followed one of the guides on here on how to install the user pages and it sort of didn't work.  I had no problem installing the Custom Field, but I'm not quite sure where to put the code for the footer.  Also, after I had installed the Custom Field for the User Pages, the option didn't come up on profiles to add a page.

It is helpful if you reply to the Guide or Code that you used ... otherwise we have to guess which one it is, and try to find it.    Figuring this must be Moose's Userpage Code?   http://www.smfsupport.com/support/smf_for_free_codes_and_support/code_userpage-t8121.0.html

Admin > Manage Styles > Edit Header/Footer -  paste the code in the Footer

Do you have this in your Header?
Code: [Select]
<script src="/jquery.js"></script>
In order to know why the option is not showing we need to know exactly how you set it up..  a screenshot or details would help.    There are several replys to the code, questions/answers and common errors setting it up that may help you as well.

Yes, that is the guide I followed.  Sorry about that... I'll try that and if it still isn't working then I'll take a screenshot.

EDIT: It worked!  Thanks SO much again!  I didn't add the code to the header, thanks!

This is what I am seeing.  I am a member of another forum that has allowed us to edit and have User Pages, and below is what I see when I go to edit.  The question is, why can't I edit on my forum?  (Pic 1)

Make sure the  Name of the field is  Page Content (with a space).  Not PageContent.

The Field ID needs to be PageContent  (no spaces)

It is Page Content.

Go back to the instruction page and double check all of the settings.    Usually it will say "null" there if you do not have the Field ID or the Name correct.   The Field ID has to have NO spaces in it and should be PageContent.   The NAME does have the space between Page and Content.  Check all of the settings and instructions Moose posted.  If it still will not work someone else will have to help you with this as Ive not used this code and can onlyl go by the help that is in that thread throughout it to try to help you ;)   Do a screenshot of your settings as it will help them know what you did.

Also try clicking Edit this Page and see if it will allow you to..   there WILL be a message there until you actually add something to it.
