I added the custom profile field for moods like was suggested, and instead of words,i want members to select an image that will show on their posts. When I checked my profile, the picture shows fine, but when selecting it from the dropdown, you have to choose from image url instead of the actual images.I'm using the bbc img tag...what am I doing wrong?

Great idea using these but I have one question. For the custom profile wallpaper how do you get that to work. I've done it and it hasn't worked. Unless I'm copyin something wrong.

Wow.. I didn't expect such a quick response.. one reason I left other forum host ;) .. Thank you for letting me know. I've noticed that when inputting the code that I've been fiddling with, it does show the box on the profile page, where the amv/movie would be, and it says 'download plugin'. (I changed the size params to 250x250, as YouTube's size is a bit large for our profile pages.) After clicking on the 'download plug-in', it returns the result that Firefox cannot find the extension for text/html. So maybe just a shockwave file or extension inserted somewhere may help??? I'm a total baka when it comes to coding, so I'm just spurting stuff that probably doesn't make any sense. My apologies.

No apologies necessary and maybe someone else here has or can figure a way to do this using the information you have posted  ;)   I'm afraid Ive not toyed with it enough to figure it out  but will keep a watch on this thread and give it a go myself soon as I find a way thru a deskhigh list of requests  lol

Actually.. I figured it out. :s Here's what I did, and if you feel it should be placed in a thread of it's own, please let me, and I'll do that.

Add Profile Field
Before
Code: [Select]
<object width="300" height="300"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/
After
Code: [Select]
" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="300" height="300"></embed></object>
This code is for YouTube, but I'm sure you savvy people can make it work with any of the other video sites, as well.

You can set the size to whatever you want, but I find (so long as the profile comments remain as a sidebar) that these dimensions fit just fine without ruining the video/amv.

All the member has to put in the text field are all the letters and numbers of the video url that follow the '=' sign.

ENJOY!!
