I tried to put this on my forum. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU ARE USING THE STYLE FROM YOUR HEADERS AND FOOTERS!

There is no reason that this code will not work properly with header/footer codes that are needed for some of the stylesheets here.
If you put the code in correctly it will work, and there will be no issues.

So if you used this code, it wouldnt matter what was in the headers and footers, it would still change?

I can not tell you that it will not matter WHAT is in your header or footer as some codes could possibly not play well together.     Have not seen that happen with this code however.     If it did not work for you then leave the code you posted so we can see what you did.

Use this Swap Images Generator to swap your images:

http://www.ifcode.com/javascript/ImageSwapSMF.html

Hope that helps you - just add in the URL's into the boxes at the top, then generate the code.  Should be a bit easier.

The generator generates a code that swaps any image on your forum with a new image.

The current image on your forum goes under the "Old Image" column.
The image you want to replace that image goes across from it in the "New Image" column.

Stick the code that is generated into your FOOTERS. (AdminCP->Manage Styles->Edit Headers/Footers)

Ok I put the code in the footers like you said but then what does that do? Because I don't get what it does.
Feel free to p.m. me :)

My current rank: Lieutenant Junior Grade.

If you did it all correctly, go to Admin -> Membergroups and you will see the new rank images there. You will also be able to see them on the forum.

No you have the right guide. You want to swap OTHER images on the page (not just rank images)

So click the first link and get the code....

sigh....

Some of the images you want to change aren't on that page...

You'll need to use this code to change them. Don't go to the second link.. you don't need it.

Ok but where do the Changed images appear?

When you use the swap images code to swap some of your forums images you will not see "your" images on the Customize Images page.   If it works correctly you should see them in the places on the forum where they are changed.   Keep in mind that you may see the original image for a moment first and THEN the new image.   This happens because the code has to be in the footer and is loaded AFTER the rest of the page is - so the original images load first, then when the code runs it finds them and swaps them.

My suggestion is to try it with one image first then after you are sure you have it working correctly and know how it works add the others.
