[Code] Light Skin Chooser
« on: June 14, 2007, 05:57:37 pm »
Today, I am going to release the Light Skin Chooser!  The colors that come with it are:
Light Blue
Light Brown
Light Golden
Light Lilac
Light Navy
Light Olive
Light Red
Light Rose
Light Silver
Light Turqouise
Light Violet

Thanks to Kimmie for making these skins so I can use them for the Skin Chooser.  Now, Just like the first Skin Chooser...

Add these codes to your footers if you don't already have them.  Some of you people might have them, so you will not need to put the codes...
1.
Code: [Select]
<script src="/jquery.js"></script>2.
Code: [Select]
<script src="http://h1.ripway.com/smcodes/skinssource.js">//Skin Source</script>
Now, you will need to add this to your Headers too.  This is the table for the Light Skin Chooser.  There are two versions, One with images(If you click on the images, it will go to that skin) and there is just a normal text one...
Version 1, Images:
Code: [Select]
<div id="skin_chooser_light"><a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Blue'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightblueskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Brown'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightbrownskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Golden'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightgoldenskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Lilac'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightlilacskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Navy'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightnavyskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Olive'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightoliveskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Red'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightredskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Rose'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightroseskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Silver'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightsilverskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Turqouise'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightturqouiseskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Violet'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightvioletskinimage.gif" /></a></div>
Version 2, Text:
Code: [Select]
<div id="skin_chooser_light"><a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Blue'); return false;">Light Blue</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Brown'); return false;">Light Brown</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Golden'); return false;">Light Golden</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Lilac'); return false;">Light Lilac</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Navy'); return false;">Light Navy</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Olive'); return false;">Light Olive</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Red'); return false;">Light Red</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Rose'); return false;">Light Rose</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Silver'); return false;">Light Silver</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Turqouise'); return false;">Light Turqouise</a> | <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Violet'); return false;">Light Violet</a></div>
Now that you have that, you can add the last part to your footers.  Again, don't add this if you already have it in your footers...
Code: [Select]
<script src="http://h1.ripway.com/smcodes/skinchooser.js">//Skin Chooser</script>
And that is it!  I hope you like it!

I love this...I changed it to show the different skin colors!  Your Awesome Agent!

OK..here's the thing...lmao...I added it...then I clicked on them to see each one...then it got stuck on one.

Now when I go to admin and pick default it won't go there..... :tickedoff:

Ok I went back to the original one and it works.

I would like to add all of them for choices but really afraid I will jack up my forum...lmao.

The light one doesn't seem to have the part of the code to allow the default...unless I had the light skin chooser as well so the default will be there from the original skin chooser.

I kinda wasn't expecting people to use the default skin...sorry, If you want to add your default skin to it, just use this code...
Code: [Select]
<div id="skin_chooser_light"><a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet(''); return false;">Default</a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Blue'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightblueskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Brown'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightbrownskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Golden'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightgoldenskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Lilac'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightlilacskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Navy'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightnavyskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Olive'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightoliveskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Red'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightredskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Rose'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightroseskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Silver'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightsilverskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Turqouise'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightturqouiseskinimage.gif" /></a>  <a href="#" onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('Light Violet'); return false;"><img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g188/yort124/skinchooser/lightvioletskinimage.gif" /></a></div>
Also, I would recomend you to take off everything for the skin Chooser if before you accually change the default skin in the ACP.  I had to find that out the hard way.  It does go back to the skin you chose for the default skin in the ACP, but it takes awhile to do it...

Well, I noticed that the background stayes the same and it is the Techno Blue background...so if you want it to show all of the CSS for the skins, then do this;
-Take out all the codes for the Skin Chooser and save it...
-Now, change the ACP setting thingy for the default skin to the accuall "default" skin.
-Put back in the Skin Chooser codes...

That should make it work all the way.

Ok I ended up having to remove the all skin chooser because even tho I removed it, added a default and then put it back...it is causing such a lag in the forum when you refresh or manuver in the forum.

So I tried just the Light color skins only, as that is what my members seem to prefer.  Again...it seems to be causing such a lag in the forum.

Is anyone else using these and having the lagging problem or still have I done something wrong in the set up to cause this?  Thanks!

You more than likely are not doing anything wrong. Anytime you add anything graphically intense to your forums main page, its going to slow the loading of the site. If what you added is also accessible from any page of the forum, its going to cause lag on the loading of those pages as well. Also, having alot of codes in your headers/footers will cause lag .
