Java and Windows 7 x64 Bit
« on: December 30, 2009, 06:22:06 pm »
I can't run some of the things I want to on my computer on Java.  The program would work for a few moments, I would try to do something in the program, and it would close automatically.  Does anyone know why this might be?  I have the latest Java and everything, I tried reinstalling it a couple of times and checking the Java paths as well as testing my JVM on the Java site.  Everything seemed to check out okay.  I have been told that Java has had problems with x64 bit Windows Operating Systems but I don't know what this could be.  I am new to Windows 7 x64 and haven't even begun to understand how Java operates, but I hope I can find an answer soon.  I thought I might as well try to get an answer here.  Let me know what you come up with, if anything.  Please feel free to post anything that can relate to this.
