If it's an issue you can post publicly, the fastest thing is posting here.

Otherwise...I got no idea. Not too long, I believe?

Funky. I'll call it a configuration problem and we'll wait a fix.  ;)

Edit: Note, I really have no idea what is wrong. I don't administrate anything on the servers. Just guessing ;)

Are...you sure you've done it correctly?

What IPs are you using?

like what are some of the background changes and how did it appeal to smf?

More bang for our buck and some server upgrades. From what I can tell, more RAM.
Databases are always hungry for RAM.

We *used* to have a directory.
But nah, we don't really have an official listing.

i know but what does that mean? i dont get the point

It means we liked what another server provider could offer us, compared to the last one.
You have to understand, all changes to the service are backend changes. Meaning they are invisible to you.

Ok so not to be an idiot but what was the point of the server migration? are there more options and features now?

The server migration provided no new features or options to users. Everything should be exactly the same now.

The server change was done as SMF For Free found a better server provider.

You're supposed to add to the hosts file.

I presume you own the domain "http://www.robinfinck.info"?

Update the nameserver IP's to:
76.73.98.2

There is no such feature to do this in SMF For Free, sorry.

yes i hope so. coincidence it seems.

i am worried on that he did upload avatar though but trust smf and this support team. i know u handle it and we will be ok. just so happy it did no damage or get to inject anything. that is so good about smfforfree b/c forums stay protected and smf stays steps above people like krisbarteo.

Avatar can't do anything if we've stripped it's ability to execute! Ha, we win.

Anyways, happy foruming.
That's why you pick SMF For Free. We'll deal with your problems.
And...well, it's free!

Goto

Windows\system32\drivers\etc\

Find a file called "Hosts"
Edit it with Notepad (or a similar editor)

Add this line below the last entry, on it's own line:

76.73.98.2 smfforfree.com

Note: It would be smart to remove this edit in a few days.
