General Support / Re: Upgrading 1.1.2 to 1.1.4 HELP
« on: April 09, 2008, 12:47:04 pm »
Grab this one from their site Kathy  (from the link he posted)
Large upgrade
Using modifications, or not using SMF 1.1.3? No problem, this is what you need.
Thanks Sibyl, large upgrade... now I understand and know as I seen so many boxes to choose from. Large 1.1.3... THANK YOU AS ALWAYS!!

You are a copy editions back and would need to do a large upgrade
http://download.simplemachines.org/

Be warned any changes to the templates will need to be done again and also the mods will need to be reinstalled and updated to the new version for SMF.
any "mods" I have done is to the headers and footers only.
So I need to download a copy of 1.1.3 first...I take it the whole thing as Simple Machine gives you many choices and I am not familiar with anything they are talking about.
thanks I'll do my best.

General Support / Upgrading 1.1.2 to 1.1.4 HELP

Forum Url: http://whatailsyou.smfforfree.com
As you can see in this pic, it doesn't have the normal link I can click and wha la it's installed.

I received an email that the Pro Plans are changing servers (or something like that) tomorrow and that I need to change my forum to this 1.1.4.

QUESTION:  I went to Simple Machines , wasn't sure which one applied to me so I picked the one that I thought would work since I don't have the 1.1.3 installed the 1.1.4. It says it is a corrupt or invalid file.
So I don't know what to do before tommorow's Pro Plan changeover. HELP!!!!
Many thanks in advance!
Kathy

Hello SMF,
On March 22 I had the same problems as tonight. I tried to post on that same thread but it is now locked.
This is what I am seeing when I try to access my website:
Oops! We can't find the webpage you're looking for
Here are some suggestions:

Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's internet connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that your browser is permitted to access the Web.

I opened up Firefox, same thing. Also I called 2 friends they are having the same problem accessing my site.
Many thanks in advance,
Kathy

I mean guys, listen to some AC/DC or some Aerosmith or Guns N' Roses, my favorite. Or some songs like "Slow Ride" by Foghat, or "Cliffs Of Dover" or "Sweet Child O' Mine" or "Welcome To The Jungle" or any of those that you like.
Rap, is just, like, no diversity.
I'll be 50 yrs old in 9 months and you'll still see me cranking up the stereo to "Slow Ride"  :smitten:
I miss the good music when music was rock & roll.
Good CD to get is the soundtrack to "Dazed & Confused". I borrow it from my son every now and then  :)

www.LupusMCTD.com

I have one member who's name showed up like 6 times on my site . So I went to forum maintenance and ran "fix all errors" and ran recounting all forum totals and statistics as I noticed I had the same visitor count as last night (123)

This is what it says "Fixing forum errors
All errors fixed! Please check on any categories, boards, or topics created to decide what to do with them.

Back to Forum Maintenance  ".

Now every time I try to click on any link home, maintenance, etc I get the error there is no website, or website is busy.

I opened in my Firefox browser and same thing, website isn't there.
Any help appreciated. I am on the smfpro plan.
