General Support / "Shadowing" feature when posting
« on: March 20, 2007, 03:06:52 am »
Forum Url: http://www.kimmiescaverns.smfforfree.com
I was updating some of the tutorials on my site and found out that the code for shadowing your text no longer is working (on the upgraded forums). Anyone else having trouble getting the "Shadow" code to work on posts?

It worked fine till the upgrade.  :-\

Test Shadow

The above words "Test Shadow" is what is appearing when I try to use the code on it. Seems its not working on this site either. I have tried every alternative for the code that I can think of.

Code: [Select]
[shadow=red,left][/shadow]

I am not able to see any of the styles you added SMF. I looked under themes and layouts - but its still showing the original demos you had on there. Am I looking in the wrong place?   :-\

(nice job adding the "Forum Url" section to posts  :)

General Support / can someone look at this for me?
« on: March 10, 2007, 02:20:47 am »
ok I just woke up - went to my site and my background wont load. Can a few of you guys go to my website and just let me know if its the actual site or if its my computer acting up? I haven't made any changes to the headers and footers since I put it on there with the exception of adding the banner at the top and its been working fine till now  :'( :'(

The background should be a slate blue color (that matches the buttons I have on there)

Thanks

General Support / helpppppp Top section of forum different sizes
« on: March 04, 2007, 01:24:27 am »
Hi all....

I have a dilema...lol.

ok I was playing around with some backgrounds for my main forum,  on a test forum I made on smfforfree2 when I noticed that the top section of the forum is a different size than my actual forum. My actual forum was on server 1 and then I got upgraded. Not sure if that makes any difference but I sure would like it to be the same size as the rest of the forum :(.

Main forum: http://kimmiescaverns.smfforfree.com/index.php

Test Forum: http://kimmiestestsite.smfforfree2.com/index.php

See the difference?  The top section expands way to far to the right while the one on smfforfree2 is the same size as the rest of the forum. (I never paid attention to it before because of the original color scheme of the forum - it was pretty much unnoticeable). I took the background back off and put it back to the original scheme to see if that was the issue and its not. THe problem is still there :(.

SMF... how do we fix this?   :)

General Support / Ok Crasy I need your help..lol
« on: February 18, 2007, 11:41:01 pm »
on my old forum there was setting in the admin panel that would "enable" check boxes (for admins/moderators) that were on the far right side of each topic to make it easier to move/delete topics several at a time. I have looked thru everything in the admin panel and can't seem to find it on the upgraded forum. Would you by chance know where thats at?   :-\

Thanks

General Support / So far the upgrade....
« on: February 16, 2007, 07:33:57 pm »
looks good... with the exception of the "themes". I am a tad confused on these. When I am under my "admin panel"...they all show as "demo's", but when I click on one it changes to that theme. (assuming thats the demo part). However, when I go under my regular profile (as a user), the only theme showing is the "default blue/grayish" one.

Now, granted I am probably not the "brightest bulb in the box"  :2funny:. under the admin section, it states to click on it to install it. Does this only install it for me to look at and "try" and not for all members to have access to it if they want to use that theme?

If I have confused you, I am sorry...lol. I think I just confused myself more than I already was... ;D ;D

Thanks....

hi SMF...I noticed that the "Faded Green" Theme has this feature but the "Classic YaBB SE Theme" doesn't. Is there anyway you can add it to that one and the Tech Blue Theme?

PRETTY PLEASE???  8)
