when u are making a board there will be an option under allowed groups that says board access. u make sure read only is marked and no1 other than admins can post there...not sure if gmods can..

the only codes you could change are the header and footers.....and changing them wouldn't really result in your browser to go down periodically. the only thing it could do is mess up the forums, but it wouldn't bring you a 404 or anything like that.
