:( K. Was hoping so because when new members join they end up posting in topics long dead mistaking them for new topics because it goes on every single topic when they look at it.

Nothing yet?

New question, is there a way to set the "new" button next to a recently posted topic so that it only shows up on topics replied to after a certain time frame?

if you've got a couple of people that love playing them the notifications will go away after a few weeks when the high score gets to be nearly unbeatable. I can't say I've had a notification about my arcade in a long time.

There aren't any topics I can edit and the old message is still being send to newly registered people. Thanks for the help figuring that part out though  :)

The welcome config has reset itself, thank you.

But now I cannot change the old and out of date welcome message. The new config seems to be to make a welcome topic instead of a welcome message.

Thank you for looking into it but it doesn't work still. I have a different error message now.

Table 'smfforfree3.shadowrepublic_welcome' doesn't exist
File: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\smfforfree3\Sources\WelcomeTopic.php
Line: 92

although, where is welcome topic settings? I just have welcome configuration which gives me the error above. I do not see a welcome topic or welcome topic settings in my admin panel.

You used to be able to send an automated message to all new members on a forum, but the welcome configuration via the admin panel has been giving an error for a long time now, but the welcome message is still being sent to new members with out of date and irrelevant information.

Hello once again. I was wondering if the welcome configuration is being worked on/fixed? The welcome message for my forum is way out of date and it's been a really long time since this part of the forum worked. If there is no way to fix it how can I disable the welcome message?

K, thanks once again sibyl. :) After all the work I put into it I don't want to do anything dumb to get it deleted.

Thank you once again :) :)

I know of the english only policy on the boards but what about uploaded music? We hold music competitions on the forums and one I wrote utilizes Realmaic which is a language known pretty much by me and me only, but a translation is provided later in the song. Is this acceptable or should I just post a link to it?
