I don't understand...is this a new thing? I keep getting a window asking me to put in my name and password, with a note about it not being a secure connection then it goes to this 401 Unauthorized screen. What password are they asking for?

I can't access my forum.

I am not that big a geek...and maybe this is normal but IE8 keeps popping up an information bar saying it has blocked 'cross site scripting'...

is this something I need to fix, something I need to report, or something I need to ignore?

I can get on any other website in my favorites, Facebook, I can Haz Cheezeburger, Pioneer Woman...but I can't get on my forum!!

help??

All that is loading is the header and the title of the first category.

edit: whatever it was seems to be over now...thanks anyway...

Did I miss a notice or something? I had it set to look like this one.

this forum looks like it always has and five minutes ago so did my forum...now it is all weirded out..the ?theme? is gone!

General Support / Constantly Being Logged Off When Posting

Hi, I am being thrown off my forum when I post...not every time but about four times a day or more..

is anyone else experiencing this?

I type out my post, hit submit and I am taken to a sign in page, sometimes my post will have been published sometimes not, sometimes I can hit back to get to my post and resubmit and it goes thru fine, sometimes it publishes my post twice. Other times the post is just gone.

frustrating!  :P

I would like to get an idea of how many views my forum receives each day/month. I see we have a feature that shows how many posts and topics we post each day...is it possible to add page views too?

I can understand the need for the ads and I havent' complained before...I LOVE SMF for free...

but.

this is really beyond invasive, I am having trouble NAVIGATING my site, they sometimes block buttons (such as the reply or quote buttons)

I just wanted you to know that I am very unhappy about this. I feel like it is a form of cohersion...'buy ad free credits or we'll flood your forum with spam to the point your members leave'...

Hi, I would like to invite you to come visit The Retreat.

The Retreat is a gay friendly, semi political, general chat forum with a conservative tilt. I know that doesn't seem to go together but...

we have discussions about women's rights, gay rights (all from a conservative viewpoint although liberals are more than welcome)

and we have lighter discussions, blog like threads, pop culture..basically just a nice place to have a chat.

we also have started a new game called the "ABCs of Politics"...come test your vocabulary and political knowledge!
