General Support / Oh noez! Our orbs are gone!
« on: August 07, 2009, 09:54:15 am »
I am not good at this stylesheet stuff (Thank god for Sibyl)...so this one kinda confounds me.

We used to have the flashing/solid orbs and now we have teeter-totters?

What's up with that?

Sorry, SMF For Free was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later."

Hiya...

Just a question...Both my partner and I purchased 50,000 (each) ad free credits today because we were out...

They JUST showed up and it says we only have 75997 left!  I know we didn't use 24,000 within the last 2 minutes!  HELP!

General Support / Show Unread Posts Since Last Visit....issues...

Hiya.

There are so many topics simply titled "HELP" in this section...and I didn't want to read EVERY SINGLE ONE to see if this has already been addressed as an issue...so sorry!

Anywho...members and now, myself, are noticing that when you click on "Show unread posts...", it doesn't actually show them all to you!  When you go back to the homescreen the little orby thingies will be blinking (indicating new posts that haven't been read).  Weird, right?

So anyway, I did maintenance, emptied unimportant logs, recounted totals and statistics...blah blah blah...and this is still an issue.

Anyone else experiencing this or know a quick fix?

Thanks punkins!  :-*

« on: February 08, 2007, 08:42:32 am »
Several of my members (and myself) are having problems with lag in our forum. Occasionally, we get the White Screen of Death, but mostly its just slow.  Its been this way for about 3 days now...

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or information?

Thanks!

General Support / Glow...
« on: December 07, 2006, 10:49:22 am »
Okay...I know this is really dumb.  But it is bugging me...so perhaps someone can help me out.

I use Firefox 2.0 as my default browser.  I try never to us IE unless I absolutely have to.  However, I just realized today...that my members who use IE have been using the glow feature and I cannot!  So, I signed out and logged in using IE, and surprise, surprise!  Glow works with IE!

So...my question is...is there something in firefox that is making this feature not work?  Or is there something I need to do to make it work for me?  I know there are a lot of us out there who prefer Firefox...and wanna glow too!   :D

...oh, and if there are any other Firefox users who know of other features that won't work, could you let me know?  Just to satisfy my curiosity...

General Support / Ugh...newbie question...again...
« on: August 30, 2006, 12:22:13 pm »
What does this mean?  I was trying to split posts out of one topic and move them to another, more appropriate topic....and I got this error:

Duplicate entry '0-7' for key 2
File: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SMFForFree\Sources\SplitTopics.php
Line: 191

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum files are currently at version SMF 1.0.8, whereas your database is at version SMF 1.0.5. It is recommended that you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I tried moving some other stuff around and had no problems...

General Support / Is it possible to just move a single post?
« on: August 29, 2006, 03:54:15 pm »
For example...let's say a newbie posts something in the incorrect thread.  Is there a way to move just that one post to the appropriate place?  I have figured out that I can split the topic and move half of it somewhere...or I can just delete the post...but I would rather move it for them.

Anybody have a clue?
