SMF For Free Support Forum

how do I unsubscribe from the new member alwert.  My forum has had a load of spam members joining but I keep getting it to my inbox Very annoying

Im slightly confused, are simple machines and smf different?
My forum: www.writers.easysmf.com which is still version 1.0.8
And I've found all the files to upgrade it to 1.1 but I haven't got my forum saved in a directory 
So can I not upgrade the smf forum?

I thought it could be done on SMF but I can't find the feature anywhere.
I know we can merge topics but can it be done for posts?

Is there a way to make it so that members automatically recieve a notification to their inbox for the first reply they get for the threads they created?  I noticed I can do that if I go to my profile but can I make this default for all members?

I can't seem to access my website, only sometimes does it allow me, and last time I was able to check, I had the 'sponsered links' at the top of my page 

Anyone else notice this with their sites?

Hi, I've seemed to have managed to delete all my smilies on my site whilst trying to add new smilies 
my URL is writers.easysmf.com

I checked out the guide post and I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions.
I also had some problems earlier on:
Firstly, it said:
"An Error Has Occurred!
A smiley with that code already exists."
so  the codes are alread used by something else (the default faces),

so I delete them then add the new smileys.  But then when it saves, it just shows the default smileys again.


But when I deleted all the old smiley, it seemed to delete everything, including with the classic and default theme 
Help please, because we have no working smilies at the mo

Does SMF support PHP Nuking?
