Does it work?

I have two separate sign-ins I can use and the one where I have set the personal theme (to SMF Default) to override the board default (CoolMetal) shows the image.  The sign-in which has not reset the personal them so it uses the default theme (CoolMetal) displays the heading, but not the image.

In both cases, the following are set:

Use an image for the header? [checked yes]

Put the FULL image url here  [full url - http//xxx.xxx.xxx.xx/zzzzzzz.jpg]

Remove Forum Title Near Banner? (Default Template) [checked yes]

The url is the same on both because I used copy and paste to ensure that it is!

Does the "(Default Template)" phrase in parenthesis mean that I can only use an image on the SMF Default theme?

Thanks

General Support / Sign up for a user
« on: February 21, 2006, 09:34:30 am »
It appears that the system will not allow more than a certain number of sign ups from a single IP address.  If I'm right, this is very inconvenient for two reasons:

1) Some ISP's don't issue separate public IP addresses to their customers.  They operate behind what is essentially a gigantic router and they issue hundreds of private IP addresses to their customers.  But the public IP address is the same for everybody who has signed up with that ISP.  Many smaller ISP's do this, especially if they are WIFI based rather than DSL or cable.

2) If I, as an administrator, want to "make it easy" on a group of people and sign them up, and put them in the appropriate groups, so that when they first access the board they do so with a "good" feeling (and no delay), I am limited.

After all that, is there a setting somewhere, as Administrator I can turn off this restriction?

Thanks

General Support / Owner email
« on: February 16, 2006, 04:40:15 pm »
I have changed the email account that was used as the "owner" of the board when initially established.  Hence, all invitations which are sent to new users show an outdated email address as the "from" address.

I logged in with administrator privledges and couldn't see where I could reset that email address.

Can you tell me if it is possible to set it myself?

Thanks

General Support / How long should password email take?
« on: February 08, 2006, 02:47:53 am »
I have three windows open on my machine.  One shows the registered users (including their email addresses), two shows the login screen and the button to send an email if password is lost and the third is my email server which should receive the email.  Email is never received, even though the message "A mail has been sent to your email address.  Click the link in that mail to set a new password."

How long should it take?

Thanks
