General Support / Re: using a website as a private log?
« on: August 18, 2010, 10:39:06 pm »
If it that's the case of registering, they'd still be able to view the site and all the pages if I'm correct. I'll just leave it the way it right now since its not against the rules. :)

Thank you for the help.

General Support / using a website as a private log?
« on: August 18, 2010, 04:41:04 pm »
I want to create a website and use it as a private log where I archive my past body building routines, some quotes, and my exercises. I will be using the site created on a daily bases but it will always be under maintenance as I'm trying to keep it private.

Is this against the rules or will I have to open up my site eventually? Please post back with answer.

You can't delete the root admin account.

and if you aren't the root admin SMF won't set you as an administrator or ANY account as an administrator.

Actually that whole 'you can't delete the root admin' thing was a feature that was added I think during late 2008, I deleted my account way before that and I know its too bad for me, but I was hoping if SMF could help me out here. :)

You can go to his profile and click "Account Related Settings"

And find "Administrator" in the "Primary Membergroup" section

I'm not understanding what your trying to say  ???

Alright so about 2 years ago I ran a site, don't wanna go in detail cause that's not the problem right now. The problem is that when I put the site in mantinence mode I went and I began to delete all the old members, mind that I was so stupid that I ended up deleting myself and was automatically redirected to the front page where it said "Maintenance Mode".

It was like a slap in my face :/

Hopefully their is a way someone on this board can go and turn my site off mantinence mode so I can re-gather all my past information so I can re put up the site

Much respects if someone is capable of helping out, thank you.
