There are a number of ways to do it, I think.

Is your domain hosted somewhere?  If not, where is your domain domiciled?  If they have a redirect service, you should be able to push all traffic (and that would include educatedsports.com/forum) to a specific url.

If your domain is hosted somewhere, you should be able to set up a simple page that redirects automatically.

Has CoolMetal been given the ability at this point in time?

Thanks

OK, I'm reminding you that CoolMetal is the theme I've selected for the default.

So that I'm not a pest, how often do you want to be reminded?  Once a month?  Daily seems a bit overbearing ;D.

Thanks

Well, I bet you know what is coming next............

Is that going to change any time soon? (hint, hint)

Thanks

Does it work?

I have two separate sign-ins I can use and the one where I have set the personal theme (to SMF Default) to override the board default (CoolMetal) shows the image.  The sign-in which has not reset the personal them so it uses the default theme (CoolMetal) displays the heading, but not the image.

In both cases, the following are set:

Use an image for the header? [checked yes]

Put the FULL image url here  [full url - http//xxx.xxx.xxx.xx/zzzzzzz.jpg]

Remove Forum Title Near Banner? (Default Template) [checked yes]

The url is the same on both because I used copy and paste to ensure that it is!

Does the "(Default Template)" phrase in parenthesis mean that I can only use an image on the SMF Default theme?

Thanks

I got around the problem by deleting my cookies.  Probably could have deleted just the cookie that this site uses, but I took the fast way.

Sent via email

If I can figure out how to attach it here, I will do so.

Note that the error occurs after I have succesfully clicked "register" and after entering the name and password information and after accepting the terms of service and after clicking the now active "Register" button.

At the least, if it is going to reject the ability to register, it might consider doing so before allowing entry of those fields.

It appears that the system will not allow more than a certain number of sign ups from a single IP address.  If I'm right, this is very inconvenient for two reasons:

1) Some ISP's don't issue separate public IP addresses to their customers.  They operate behind what is essentially a gigantic router and they issue hundreds of private IP addresses to their customers.  But the public IP address is the same for everybody who has signed up with that ISP.  Many smaller ISP's do this, especially if they are WIFI based rather than DSL or cable.

2) If I, as an administrator, want to "make it easy" on a group of people and sign them up, and put them in the appropriate groups, so that when they first access the board they do so with a "good" feeling (and no delay), I am limited.

After all that, is there a setting somewhere, as Administrator I can turn off this restriction?

Thanks

I have changed the email account that was used as the "owner" of the board when initially established.  Hence, all invitations which are sent to new users show an outdated email address as the "from" address.

I logged in with administrator privledges and couldn't see where I could reset that email address.

Can you tell me if it is possible to set it myself?

Thanks

Here's the headers from one, last night:

Received: from [64.34.177.146] (helo=loclahost)
by m1.dnsix.com with esmtp (Exim 4.54)
   id 1F73bn-00034A-69
   for xxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com; Wed, 08 Feb 2006 20:40:43 -0800
Received: from server146 ([127.0.0.1]) by loclahost with MailEnable ESMTP; Wed, 08 Feb 2006 02:40:39 -0600
Subject: New password for xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This appears to say that at 40 minutes past midnight, California time, the email was received from server146.  The next server, m1.dnsix.com received the email just about 20 hours later.  Kind of coincidental that it was 20 hours and 4 seconds.  It is almost as if the clocks are wrong rather than the timing.  But the timing is right.  I asked for the new password around midnight and I got it this email around 20 hours later.

I have received dozens of emails in that 20 hour period so I know my gateway is up.

Whether the problem is on your end or whether there was a chokehold somewhere between you and my gateway, I wouldn't be able to trace.  But usually once an email hits the backhaul it "gets there."

Looks like I have the headers to prove that it took 3 hours for SMFforFree's servers to let go of the email.  Of course, maybe I'm reading the headers wrong, but I doubt it.  Eventually they came through, though.

I have three windows open on my machine.  One shows the registered users (including their email addresses), two shows the login screen and the button to send an email if password is lost and the third is my email server which should receive the email.  Email is never received, even though the message "A mail has been sent to your email address.  Click the link in that mail to set a new password."

How long should it take?

Thanks
