Target: Create A Warning System
Description: A Warning System is a system that you can use to give your Forum Users Warnings.

First go to:  Administrator CP --> Features and Options --> CUSTOM PROFILE FIELDS
Click:  Add A Field
When the Field is added, Click:  [Settings]
Type the Name of you Warning System in the First Box
Type the Description of your Warnings System in the Second Box (THIS IS ONLY VISIBLE TO ADMINS)
Select the option:  Show under Post Count, in the: Show in posts? Drop down menu:
Check Parse BBC?  (ONLY CHECK THIS IF YOU WANT TO USE PICTURES IN YOUR WARNINGS SYSTEM):
Check the option:  Only allow admins to edit field?:
Click:  Save (DO NOT CLICK RE-CREATE FIELD):
Select:  Text Area from the Drop Down Menu, and after that, click: Save:

To warn a member:

Members --> {THE MEMBER NAME} --> Forum Profile Information
Look for the warning field you created.
Place a Image Link in the box using this code: 
 [IMG] IMAGE URL GOES HERE [/IMG]

No you have to ban them yourself in your Admin Panel.
The Custom Profile thing is just a way to add a little graphic image or words in that area. 
It cannot ban someone.

If it is not showing up correctly for you two things:

1.   Start over, go over the settings completely and see where you went wrong
2.   If you cant figure it out after that we need your forums url and we need a screenshot of your settings so we can SEE what you did in order to know how to advise you.

To warn a member:

oh and soz 1 more thing how do you acturly mute somebody?

You cannot actually "mute" someone using this -  what this does is it puts the warning image under their name/avatar in posts.     To "mute" someone - make it so they cannot post - you need to ban them and set them to Cannot Post OR create a membergroup that cannot post and move them to that Group.

oh and btw... when im adding membergroups named: warned, muted and banned what do i put in the: Star Image Filename?

choose an image from the Star Filenames page - put the url in the box for the star image filename
