[Guide] How to Get Quick Reply

This is the complete guide to enable the quick reply for yourself, and for everyone on your forum.

First, you may be wondering what Quick Reply is, here is a screenshot:


To enable quick reply for yourself

Go to Your Profile -> Look and Layout Preferences
Scroll down to where it says Use quick reply on topic display:
In the drop-down menu select Show, on by default
Click Change Profile when you are finished



Now Quick Reply is enabled for you, when you want to reply to a topic, you will see it
If you want it to be optional for quick reply, select Show, off by default, which then, members will have an option to use quick reply.

To enable Quick Reply for everyone

Go to your Admin CP->Current Theme->(tab) Reset Options
Click Reset default (guest) options for this theme
Scroll down to where it says Use quick reply on topic display:
In the drop-down menu select, Show, on by default



Quick Reply will now be enabled for all members, when they reply to a topic, they will see the Quick Reply box.
If you want it to be optional for members to use quick reply, select Show, off by default.

I wasn't sure which set to choose from..at first I chose the bottom set...then when didn't have an option of shoe etc..I went back and chose the top set..not seeing quick reply...

The top one is setting it to not show Quick Reply at all. Change it to the bottom one if you want to see it.

I figured it out.Works fine. There were two of the same thing to choose from that were identical, one below the other.Here is a example: Don't laugh LOL
