One of my members was having a problem last night with the forum telling her her post was empty and not letting her post her thread.  I figured that it was a browser issue or something, but today when she requested I post it I ran into the same issue.  I worked around it by dividing the post ~ in half, but it is annoying, to say the least.  Here is the post in question.  I'm not sure if it is just that it was too long or what, but it is definitely far from empty.

That didn't fix it.  I currently have the post limit set at 60k, up from the default 20k, and it did it on a post that was 3400 characters long.
Actually, it seems to be something with the application that is disagreeing.  The problem is happening with this thread as well. http://moonlightmassacre.smfforfree.com/index.php/topic,4.0.html

I just grabbed whats in the code on the page you just posted and tried it on one of my test forums and its doing the same to me.. I see what you mean about the error now:   The message body was left empty.    

Back in a few.. gonna see if I can figure out whats in that post thats messing with it

It isnt liking the astericks you have here:

and here:

You can post it that way inside the code tags, but without them it won't allow it.

Post it this way  (inside code tags when you post it)
Using the "nobbc" tags will post the code for the img and url tags so they can see it and put the info inside them.

glad I was able to figure this out.....  had a phone call.. sorry..    its not limiting the characters actually ...  the *'s in the code as you posted them are causing it (for some reason) to error.   It'll do that sumtimes when using the bbcode html tags to post an embed code if you dont add text to it.....
