Hi! Having a strange problem since a few hours. Each time a click into a new page in my forum, the link I want to open on that page takes not less than 3 to 5 minutes to get activated. Can SMF please check.
P.S. A very happy 2013 to all at SMF :)

Can you send me a link to a page which has links that take a long time to load/click
-
The problem starts as soon as I enter the homepage and try to click on any of the boards, and then continues similarly.

I also observed today that that when I use Google chrome, it's much better. But still persists with Mozilla Firefox. However, Firefox seems to work okay on other sites. So I'm wondering why this problem in my forum.
-
After going to homepage, if you try to click on one of the buttons on the bar on top - "home, search, arcade, link" etc. it doesn't get activated for a while.

Any better made a change yesterday
-
Still the same unfortunately .. only happens when I browse with Firebox though the same browser seems okay in other sites like facebook etc.
-
I would try removing this header code.
<a name="fb_share" type="button_count" href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php">Share</a><script src="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share" type="text/javascript"></script>
And see if it helps

Actually that share button has been there for a long time. Never had any problems with it and it's helping to bring more people to the site. But I'll remove and see if it makes a difference.
-
I noticed it slowed down a lot of my sites I just did an update on other software I made and seems to have helped.
-
I just removed that. You are absolutely right SMF. It did make a big difference for the better. It's fine now :)
So I'll will have to delete that facebook button. It was the one creating the problem.
Thank u so much SMF. That was brilliant!

Would there be any substitute for that button which might not interfere with the working of the website?
