Yes. By using the custom headers?

umm how would i do that?

I "think" and Im guessing here, ccbtimewiz is talking about adding tabs above the forum using some html coding in the header.

If what you are wanting to do though is to replace the existing tab bar with specific and different images for each link on the tab bar that can not be done.   An image could be placed under them - it would be the .maintab_active_back image.    (Im not even postive that is what you are asking?)  but if so it would be like on this stylesheet:
http://www.smfsupport.com/support/stylesheet_codes/stylesheet_writers_corner-t20940.0.html;msg79984
or
http://www.smfsupport.com/support/stylesheet_codes_and_help/more_layouts-t9139.0.html;msg43930#msg43930

You need to know how to set the width/height in the css for it to do that plus some other changes to the tab area.
Nutz also created a style that does that (has a fish under the tab links) but I cannot remember the name of the stylesheet right now  (sorry Nutz)
You will not actually be putting an image UNDER that main_active_back image.  It will BE that image.  You would create a new maintab_active_back image that has the tab part on it AND the image under it (all one image)    Then you need to figure out the exact width and height settings for it.   Check those threads above to see how it was set to figure it out.

Check this thread -  especially the section about the tabs
Default css explained

i just want an image below my tab

an image below the normal tab bar  (Home Help Search etc) ?

If so.. you would have to do it as I mentioned .. check those links and the thread about the css so you can see how the tab images are setup - how the css is done for them.    The only other way I could think of that it could possibly be done would be if someone could create a code that would place an image underneath the maintab_active_back image on the tab bar.
Keep in mind it will (either way you do it) put that image under the active tab anyplace the tabs are used on the forum.
