since your still on Server 1, please post any issues in this thread:

http://www.smfsupport.com/support/general_support/server_1_is_very_slow-t2471.0.html

They are trying to keep this issue all in the same place so they dont have a ton of topics posted on the same thing.

As for the issue, I too, am on server 1 and mine seems to be ok. Give it a little bit and it should clear up. Server 1 is known for its "late night hiccups" :)

Edit...Just went to your site.. seems fine to me

Yes Kidder, I know that. The reason I posted it was because I too am on Server 1 and mine never went down tonight (like it normallly does at the same time every night). I wanted to let them know that their post "was indeed seen" and wasnt ignored for 2 reasons:

1.) if they came back to check their post because they were still having issues, they would see that someone was aware of their problem. I know how I feel when I post something somewhere - I appreciate the replies I get no matter if the issue was resolved or not.

2) they would also learn if they have further issues, to post them in the appropriate thread because this is where any solutions/questions will get answered for this issue.

 ;)

Um...If you haven't upgraded yet?  I highly recommend that you do so.  We have been FLYING since the upgrade yesterday...and it so rocks.

Mine is upgraded. That doesn't change the Server your on just the software.  :)

If you want one on Server 2 you will have to create a whole new forum. An easy way to tell is if your url ends in:

Smfforfree.com = Server 1
Smfforfree2.com = Server 2

Oh...I knew that!  I just wanted to encourage the people on Server 1 who were not upgraded yet to do so!

In due time the problems with Server 1 forums should clear up.

The server is getting a large load on it...and it's no specific bias that SMF For Free has against you guys. Both servers are exactly the same, but the non-upgraded forums take a much larger toll on the server.

The only thing SMF For Free could possibly do is force ALL of you to upgrade, which wouldn't be fun. However as more and more server 1 forums upgrade the problems should start to disappear or at least clear up some more.

However Server 1 problems are currently a common appearance so we prefer to keep all of the reporting of slowdowns and problems in the thread Kimmieb mentioned above.

http://www.smfsupport.com/support/general_support/server_1_is_very_slow-t2471.0.html

Thank you for telling us about your problem :) Feel free to post future problems in that thread though.
