Why do my forums lag so much?  Everything is in slow motion...

Loads fine for me, but perhaps because you have a bunch of flash crap in your footer?

That's because of the flash object and about 86 or so errors in (x)HTML.

Remove your custom footers and see what becomes of it.

A number of elements and attributes are deprecated in HTML 4 as an indication that other methods of accomplishing the same task are preferred. Deprecated features may become obsolete in future versions of HTML, though browsers that support the features will likely continue to support them. Deprecated features are included in HTML 4 Transitional and HTML 4 Frameset but not HTML 4 Strict.

Here's a brief list of the most popular deprecated HTML tags and attributes, along with the style properties that replace them.

Deprecated Tags:

<center>
<b>
<u>
<font>

New "semantic" counterparts (that should be used):

<div align="center"> or <div style="text-align: center;"> (in replace of <center>)
<strong> or <span style="font-weight: bold;"> (in replace of <b>)
<em> (replacing <i>)
<span style="font-face: something; font-size: 20px;"> (in replace of <font>

Hmm...
I removed them and it didn't do much of anything...
It was a bit faster, but not much...
>_>

It's the background-- you're using a fairly large image. Why not make it very small and vertical/horizontal repeat it?

Sorry for the double post, but I need help.
I don't want to use any other stylesheet, so I'm sticking with the one that lags.
How can I do what you said, ccbtimewiz?

Firstly remove the background and see if that "speeds" up your site.

If it does, then I can give you further instruction.

He was asking "How". You do this by editing the CSS. I personally am unsure how to do this.
Feel free to PM me or email me. ;)

Surprisingly, using DSL, this works fine. But you might wanna follow what ccbtimewiz  said:
