Child Boards are the same thing as sub forums

Go to Admin > Boards > Settings
Checkmark this ----> Count child's posts in parent's totals
Checking this option will means the posts and topics in a board's child board will count toward its totals on the index page.

Then to setup the child boards:

Click the "Modify Boards" tab

Click "Add New Board"
Choose the "Category" you want the board in
Across from "Order" use the dropdown box and set it to "Child of"
Use the drop down box to the right of that one to choose the board you want it in
       

Thanks for the post. Why is it named child? Weird. I will give it a go.
