some users can't register for some reason

Hello all,

We have a problem with new accounts. It works for some people, but not for all. I'll try to explain what happened:
-we invited a new member to our clan (the forum is a clanforum), and in the statistics (on all pages at the bottom is a ezblock with statcounter script) are only 3 pageloads: one from the homepage, one from the 'read me before joining topic', and one from the register page. After that there are no pageloads, which means he hasn't submitted the form (&action=register2 or something would be in the pageloads if he did).
-I've tested creating another account myself, which instantly worked. Second account (filling in a mail provider we banned) wouldn't work because I could not create two accounts so quickly. Via Tor network wouldn't do it either (later i thought it'd be cookies which were set of course, no way of knowing another way as im certain tor worked). So I tried another computer here (just from homepage > register page), and it got the same error as the other guy got: "Please contact forum owner.". No errors, nothing to fill in on the registration page, only that text. Other pages worked though. I had tor on on that computer too, so it couldn't be the IP which it recognised.
-A remarkable thing is that both computers where it didn't work ran windows vista. No clue how that could affect it (used the same browser here on xp as here on vista to register a secondary account), unless you manually put it in an OS check for which I don't have a clue why.
-Another admin of our forum tried creating an account where the other guy could login to, but appearently that wasn't working either. Gotta try what would happen yet (or should ask what he exactly said that happened) but afaik it just didn't work or did the same or something.

Here is a screenshot of the error I got when trying with vista: click.

So any thoughts? If you need our forum url, I filled it in the 'forum url' field on top so guess you have it. Any additional information like IP addresses, date/time of the events or anything else which might be on our forum or statcounter, I can send via PM.

Any help would be highly appreciated, especially because we lack members a bit so we don't want to loose him because of those probs, but i understand you can easily say that that's not your problem :P

Regards,
RMF.
