so weird.. ive had no error messages, no slow downs, no white screens, no problems at all on my server 1 forum

Those of you experiencing this problem, the more information you can give us the better.

Please, describe what you were doing when you encountered the error. (browsing threads, moderation, editing settings, posting)
If you were doing something, describe what you were doing in detail.
Leave your Forum URL
If you were editing a setting, which setting were you editing?

Does the error occur in the same places(ie, it only happens when you post, or lock topics)?
How often do you experience the error?
And does it last long? Or does it just disappear after refreshing the page?

I was trying to refresh the page when the CGI error happened again. 

I got the error 4 times while I was trying to refresh, and then it finally stopped. 

The error never happens in the same places...some members get it while performing a search, some get it when they try to log on, some get it completely randomly.

I have run forum maintenance and emptied out logs, recounted totals, etc...it seemed like it helped for about 12 hours...and then Poof!

That error has now happened at my server 1 forum as well:  http://madamemmastent.smfforfree.com/index.php
It happens when clicking on a Board title to enter a board. 
 It is erratic and does not happen each time but Ive never seen this error before (on server 1)

lol yeah I know.
It is pretty erratic on my forum.. not happening all the time nor for the same reasons (as you mentioned on yours).
Hopefully he will be able to track it down.

I have the same message come up........
No matter what I tryed to do on the forum the message kept coming...
And when I tryed to get in here I got the same message ...
It lasted on my forum and here for about 2 minutes....

Happened when trying to modify a message.
Happened again when clicking Admin tab
Happened again when saving a message.

Also happening at the test site you just upgraded for me  (server 1)

Getting this again today...did we ever find out if this is something that can be fixed?  Seems like it has been happening periodically every day the last few days.

SMF mentioned that he had copied over the server 4 settings to server 1  (in hopes of getting rid of a different ongoing error message)  and would see how it goes.

Im sure he has seen this thread and is looking into it.  Not sure how long it will take for him to search it out and correct it.

I am still getting Fast Cgi errors  (intermittedly and for different reasons) on my server 1 forum(s)  too.
I am also noticing  a very long stall when clicking the My Messages and Arcade Tab the past several days.  (This never occured before) 
No stall with the other tabs.

I was just working on my forum and it says that the connection was interrupted again and again...

please someone tell me if my internet is down (well actually, all the other pages are loading fine, just not my forum) or if the server is down.

and if it is, this is just a note for SMF For Free to please help us all!
