Seriously, that's all we can tell you.

We told our host that the server is down. They said "We're fixing it." That is all we know.
The problem is out of our hands.

um i feel kinda stupid asking this but crasy what did we gain and what did we lose on this update like what got added to the SERVER 4 forums??

Software wise, we got nothing.
Hardware, we got a totally new setup.
What have we lost? Nothing more than a bit of downtime pains.

SMF For Free bought some new servers, and WAYYY better servers. They're all hosted in the same place. Everything is quicker, simpler and better.
The features for your forums have not changed at all during the move. The forums will just be a load faster.

The reason for the downtime is that we have to freeze all of the forums during the move in order to ensure no data is lost during the move. Server 4 has run into a bit of trouble during the move when a harddrive failed in the server. We are currently waiting for it to be replaced. When it is replaced all of the files will be restored and the forums put back up.

Molly, it is our pleasure to explain everything about the move. We were expecting horrified reactions from everyone when the word "downtime" was posted in the announcements board.
