with hundreds of forums, and millions of files to transfer, and databases to be updated for all of those files...

its going to take some time.    Will all be worth it.   The ones that have already been moved run very much faster.

Still in the process of moving the server almost had it complete. Ran into some hardware issues currently have tech support taking a look at the machine.

I am sure it is just part of the process, but wanted to ask anyway.  Is all well at this point now that I am getting "time outs" when trying to bring up the forum?

Still working on it have tech support looking at the server. Have all the changes ready just one more issue to go.

Hi Dream.    It would be best to wait until either the notice changes on your site saying it is okay to do so, or until SMF replys to this thread saying it is okay.

They are still updating the server. they had a little problem and are in the process of sorting it. Just wait it out.

I'm hoping it gets there soon. Thankfully I know most of my members that post either IRL or via another site so I have other ways to let them know what is going on. I had no clue it was going down till that morning myself. They are calling themselves Gypsies because I just moved it from server 3 to 4 and now SMF is "moving" it lol.

I can't wait till it gets done. No more hiccups eh? (ya right ;) ) But it will be better and faster...*likes this a lot*

After the moves we've haven't had a single report yet of a server issue. Which is awesome.
SMF has told us that this move happened perfectly until the server just stopped working.

The issue is out of our hands at this point and we can all only be patient for a fix.

Most likely hard drive failure on the new server just need them to replace the hard drive and we are good to go.
