SMF For Free Support Forum

Seriously...this is getting a bit outta hand.  We have no more smileys there than you do here....and yet, I get a daily email saying there is a problem with the database...and currently, the white screen of death issue is occurring at least twice a day when I try to post...

I just have a feeling that server 1 is being neglected and those who choose to abandon their whole style/theme to go with blah 1.1 are being updated and taken care of.  I run the #3 board of all the forums, and yet, we still have continuous problems...

Sorry if I sound bitchy...but I am annoyed.

 

Thank you! The WSOD has become such an every day part of our lives that I would not know how to act if I didn't get it at least once or twice a day.  We've even posted instructions for our membership on what to do when they get the WSOD or a slow posting response.

You aren't on Server 1. Well, at least the forums in your sig aren't on server 1.

My bro has his own and it is server one  .

Ah, not sure. It could be different per forum depending on the number of images on the page and size of each page of the forum.

mine is very slow today as well.

I just checked a few of the upgraded forums that still have smfforfree.com and they are slow as well.
The smfforfree2.com forums are not slow

So Im thinking that if you upgrade you are still on the same server you have always been on and its not
going to speed it up by upgrading?

SMF.. could you please shed some light on this as I am confused and the members are as well.
If we upgrade our forums is the software upgraded and the forum left on the save server or is
it moved?

as stated above after testing several sites Im finding all forums ending in smfforfree.com whether upgrading or not are slow and all ending in smfforfree2.com are fast.  Given this, how is upgrading going to help us with the speed?

kidder.. yeah I know.   Im trying a bunch that I know for a fact were upgraded and all the same thing.
It can NOT be the themes and the smileys causing the slowdown for the non upgraded forums.   Not when after you upgrade its STILL doing this.

Ive been thinking of having the Tent upgraded this week.
but if this is going to continue then I do not want to do so unless we can have a smfforfree2.com address.
