I'm trying to block private messages from all members temporarily. 
profile > pm options, and then enter star (*) in the box to block all msgs.  but pm button still showing & working against my icon.  am i missing out on anything?  please advise.  thanks.

 if  you  go  to  admin  and  then  to  permissions .  pick  the  group  you  want  to  change  . you  should  find  the  listing  under  that  group  that  has  the  check  marks  for  what  permissions  are  given  for  that  group.  uncheck  the  messaging  area  for  each  group  you  want  no  PMs
