Primary Membergroup Overuling Posts?

I want to make a Primary Membergroup which means the people in it cannot see certain boards (sort of like a punishment group), however the post-based groups keep overruling it so they can still see all the boards (I made a test account).

So all I'm asking is how can I make the primary membergroup over rule the post group

I did that and they can still see the boards due to their post-based rank

then unselect all post based groups like so..

ok so u dont want the group banned to see a certain board

but they are in the post count group jr. member

unselect all post count groups

this will not effect anything as long as there primary group is selected

so once uve unselected the group banned and unselected all post count groups

thye will then no longer be able to see this board

hope it helped

Then everyone who has the same posts as that person cannot see the board...

yea but that y the primary memgergroup is selected

unless u want a certain group not to see that board

eg. on my forums i have a admin section

so i have unticked all post counts and have only selected the group "admin"

therefore only admins can see it and no 1 else will know its there.

Dw... you clearly don't get what I'm saying...

Ok

I don't want PRIMARY MEMBERGROUP 'Banned' to see a board

but they still can due to their POST COUNT GROUP

If I untick the post count group too, nobody can see the board, and I want everyone EXCEPT the Banned group to see it...

HIW the best way to do it is make a "banned" or whatever you want to call it group that is a NON Post Count based Group.    Set all the permissions for that group.    Go to each board and uncheck all the boards you do not want them to have access to.     Move them to that group via their Profile/Account Related Settings.

Make sure the only group they are in is the non post count based group you made for them.
