Missing image

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. We have only just started our forum but have created a theme to match the site. However, when someone makes a post, the 'new' image does not show? Just the red x!!  I can't find where to change it anywhere in the code but I have checked and the image is there in the folder that it is pointing to???? Please help.
