Okay, I'm still having trouble with my online counter, I tried to do what I was told to do last time, but it really didn't work, and I don't know what to do know.

yeah it still shows yours as being

"Most Online Today: 1. Most Online Ever: 1 (April 10, 2007, 03:55:33 pm)"

Not sure. Maybe SMF can have it recount them. It might be a glitch in the software as other people have posted having the same problem. Im gonna register and see if it will update

Just got this error when I tried to register:

Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

yeah.. and if memory serves me correctly, those stats at the bottom ("Most Online Ever") only update once per day. Go to your admin section and have it recount the stats. Then we can watch it and see if it updates tomorrow.

I still think there might be an issue with the software if your settings are all ok. We shouldnt be getting that error when someone registers. Are any members having any trouble getting on the site and posting?

Admin->Features and Options->Check "Track Daily Statistics"

Maybe wait for others to try and help you answer your questions before getting ppl to join your site and making them admin or a mod.  I know personally that someone did this and "poof" their forum was gone.  Not saying this particular person would do this, just saying give us other mods some time to answer your questions before making anyone part of your admin /mod.  Always better to be safe then sorry  ;)
