Need some guidelines for the following ..
« on: August 30, 2006, 04:58:25 pm »
1)  Is there an option for moving a post from one category or forum to another?  If so, please inform how.

2)  Is it possible to insert hyperlinks in posts?  I don't mean copy & paste URLs, but inserting links.  I tried doing this by selecting the text to be linked and then hitting the Hyperlink button, but there's no dialog box appearing to type the URL address.

I really appreciate if anyone can give me some information on the above aspects.  Thanks a lot!

Thanks ..

Moving posts is now working fine.

However, since I know very little about HTML codes, I'm still not being able to handle the hyperlinks.  Just let me confirm this with you once again.  You mentioned the code as above.  So, do I type the website address that I want to link with my text in place of 'URL.'   I did that but it doesn't work.  Please correct me.

Thanks, I understand this.  Actually this is an image.  However, one can also post website addresses by copy & post of URL address.

What I want to know is ..  if I wish to link a particular text or word in my post to a URL address .. how do I get that?  Obviously after highlighting the text in my post and hitting the hyperlind button, I'll have to enter the URL address somewhere.  If I enter it in between the two URL brackets then the highlighted text gets deleted.  Any suggestions?

Forum Url: http://www.pogoinslowmo.smfforfree.com
I know this is an old, old topic, but I am wondering if a pop up for the hyperlink has been added or not?  I love when I get the pop-up and can add the URL there and then also add word(s) that I want in reference to the hyperlink, such as "Click HERE".
Thanks for any information, it is greatly appreciated.

A popup box to add urls to a post has not added as of yet. The code to do this, and many other things can be found by clicking on the HELP button, clicking on the POSTING tab, and then scrolling about half way down.
