My forum is down again ??

We have responded in another topic. Currently experiencing hardware issues with one of our servers will have them check out this latest issue.

i know this is not your fault smf but this is very off putting
ive had my forum with .this was our 4th xmas
ive never known this to happen so many times and it not good and is getting very frustrating
i dont know if ill have ANY members left by end of 2011 if this continue
We might have to move to a new host too as I really cant keep having upset members
Any idea how long they will be down today?

Hi Clairebear, yep still up and running with just a few smilies missing. I've noticed you haven't had a very good time with forum crashes just recently. here's something you might want to do..
Open another free forum (obviously not an smfforfree) but one you can find on the net. That way you can have a backup forum to go to where you can let your members know why your forum is down "again". Just give your members the link to your new forum, and when the smf one goes down they can go to the new one to find out what the problem is. Saves getting emails asking "Why can't I get on the site".

TBH at this time i am looking at other sites to use and building one
Im gonna see I how I feel with it before I decide to keep smf or this one im making
this is our 3rd day down and is not good for the bereaved parents who use my forum xx

My forum is down once again. Its been about 3 hours now. Is the problem any closer to being fixed?

Think maybe it's time to cancel my direct debit to you people and start looking around for somewhere else if this keeps up much longer.
It is also the week-end and this is when we are the most active and busiest.
I and my crew are not in the least impressed by the proceedings over the last few days.

Sorry to mosey in on the convo, but do you know if it would be possible to open a new forum as you say above, but to also transfer all post content from the SMF forum to the new one so that I wouldnt have to start from scratch? I like SMF but all this downtime is really denting the day to day running and I am getting lots of complaints from members threatening not to return

Mine is up and running but at times some images do not appear such as in the avatars.

Is this related to the server issues from yesterday?  It has been like this for days and the members are becoming frustrated.

No idea with hardware issues I can't do anything about it just wait it out until it is fixed.

Have you been given a timeframe at all? Is it likely that the forums may not run properly again? I'm trying to keep my hopes up but it has been 4 days of cutouts now
