More Of My Questions
« on: December 17, 2008, 04:51:12 pm »
You know how some of the smileys are animated?  They're moving to fast.
I recently switched from Internet Explorer, to Firefox....
The smiley moving his eyes looks like he's having a spasm... :2funny:

Anyway, my question to you guys is, why is this happening?

Its not a bug.. its the frame rate that was set for them when they were made.   The frame rate is set too low for some of them and with Firefox they'll go speedo.   Some of em have frames set at below 6/100..  doesnt work well most times.  Its a pain making them due to browser differences.  If you set the frame rate to 0  (for 0 seconds) in Explorer it will actually be 1/10.   They may just need more or less frames to s  l o w   t h e m   d o  w  n.   We didnt make em.

The member colors worked when I used Internet Explorer, So I'm pretty sure I added everything needed.

If I remember correctly, that code needs to be in the header, not footer.

So here is the code:

Headers:

Code: [Select]
<script src="/jquery.js"></script>
Footers:

Code: [Select]
<script>
function Color_Username(ethan,troy){
//Created by Agent Moose (revolutionx.smfforfree3.com)
var Vikhyat = document.links;
for(simply_sibyl=0;simply_sibyl<Vikhyat.length;simply_sibyl++){
if(Vikhyat[simply_sibyl].href.match("profile;u=" + ethan + "$")){
Vikhyat[simply_sibyl].style.color = troy;
};};};
Color_Username("INSERT NAME HERE","COLOR IN HEX");
</script>

I think that is how it should work.

EDIT:::

Simply Sibyl --- I am trying to help other people like you do so I can 1) get more experience with the codes and 2) So I can make some more friends around here other than you! and 3) So I can help others.

You need the # sign before each of the color numbers or it will not work in Firefox..   just grabbed my code to be sure.

Here is your corrected code:

Code: [Select]
<script>
function Color_Username(ethan,troy){
//Created by Agent Moose (revolutionx.smfforfree3.com)
var Vikhyat = document.links;
for(simply_sibyl=0;simply_sibyl<Vikhyat.length;simply_sibyl++){
if(Vikhyat[simply_sibyl].href.match("profile;u=" + ethan + "$")){
Vikhyat[simply_sibyl].style.color = troy;
};};};
Color_Username("3","#FF0033");
Color_Username("1","#FF00CC");
Color_Username("4","#FF9900");
Color_Username("10","#66CC00");
</script>

Thanks guys!  :]

Yet ANOTHER few questions...
1-How do I add smileys to the "Xtra Smileys" code?
2-Why does it say that my mods are n00bs?  (n00bs are my first post count level) I think I've asked this before...But I forgot...>_<

The directions are in the instructions for the code:

Xtra Smileys
When I put a smiley in there, they have white edges...
Why?
