Live chat feature

Hello

I was wondering is there a way to incoporate a live chat feature in my forum. Does SMF have one? Does anyone know  how to add a live chat site into the forum so that members are talking live on forum

Well anything along those lines would be a real help if it was possible?

You will need to sign up for a shoutbox/chatbox someplace and get the code.
Here is a list of chat/shout boxes:

Decide where you want the Shoutbox to be on your forum.
In your Header or Footer:  Admin > Manage Styles > Edit Header/Footer

In a board description:  Create a board for the shoutbox,  paste the shoutbox code in the boards description area.
Its nice to do it this way as you can limit who can see it by the boards permissions.

In a Portal block:  Make an html block and put the code in there.

is all of them where just the members can chat in them?
and would have have to make a name on that site as well or would they just be put in to the chat room with there member name. i hoe you no what i am saying

you can make it so that only members that you make can chat. when they first log into your chat they will be guest. they can not chat until you or a moderator makes them a member of the chat. so its anti guest.
