Link posts to a website
« on: February 03, 2007, 12:16:02 am »
Hello

Our forum is linked through a website, we are wondering if there is anyway to have post made by an admin link back to the homepage of our website and be displayed on that homepage? This way we can post news on the forum and have it auto display on our website as well.

Also is there anyway to change the named fields in the registration panel? We would like it to say YOUR REAL NAME and not Username.

Thanks

No, you cannot change the registration area.

For your first question, you might be able to do so with the RSS feed already made for your forum. It would just have to be forum news put in the news feed, no board or post.

You can look at the code and feed settings under Edit Forum News->Settings->Click the question mark beside Enable XML/RSS news->Click "Recent News" in the popup window

You can look through that...maybe find a way to format it with CSS or something. I've never done it before, I don't know if it's possible. But it seems like your best bet.
