option doesn't work on joining threads

how  can  I  take  two  threads  on  the  same  board  and  join  them  to  make  one  thread ??

Go the one of the topics that you want to merge. Click into it and at the bottom toolbar you'll see "Merge Topic"

Click that and it will bring a list of all the topics in that board. There's a selection box at the top if you want to merge it to another topic that's in another board. Find the topic you want to join it with and select it by clicking the image next to it.

How does this effect the order of posts in both?
Do they reorder and go by date or time for both.. or do the 1st topics posts stay at the top of the 2nd?

This function will merge the messages of two topics into one topic. The messages will be sorted according to the time of posting. Therefore the earliest posted message will be the first message of the merged topic

the merge  does  not  work. I  picked  the  thread  then  I  clicked  on  merge  topics  next  I  choose  the  board  then  clicked to  the  other  topic..  all  it  did  was  go  to  that  topic..  no  merge.

Did you click the topic's name or the merge image next to it?

The image looks like this:

If you click that it will merge the topics.
