does anyone know how to make it so that in the online list it doesnt show a IP?

It only shows it for the Admin, Global Moderators, anyone set with access to the ban list.   Regular members cannot see them.

your welcome :)    Sometimes its good to make a test user.  Set that user to a membergroup you want to check to be sure everything is set as you want it.   Then you will know for sure they are seeing/not seeing what you want them to.
