HELP WITH UPDATING FORUM PLEASE!

I need urgent help updating my forum to the new BETA version. I know people may say, "Nar mang don' updait eet its crap" But I NEED to. Please walk me through step by step. Thanks. Also I heard something about uploading to a server or something. I have no idea what that is. PLEASE HELP. I'm not too good at it.  :uglystupid2:

Are you using the SMF For Free service?

Here at SMF For Free we do the updating for all of the users when the release is finalized. Users cannot do it themselves.

Ah, ok. Yes i'm using SMF FREE. I wanted to install a new theme. But all the tutorials I have looked at say I go on Themes and Layout and click Install from file. The only problem is, there is no button that says that. So I thought it was because of the version of Forum. Anyway, how come there is no install from file button?

SMF For Free doesn't allow people to upload themes, modifications and updates. This is because these scripts often have to be modified to work with each other and allowing people to modify these scripts would never work with the file system here.

SMF For Free is different than regular hosted SMF forums remember.

Ahhhhhh Ok. Lol, didn't know that :D. So I can only use themes from the CCS codes then yes?

Yeah, exactly.
We've built a number of themes off of the default theme around here using just CSS code. They are several very talented artists around here doing a great job for us.

Hi again. Im terribly sorry for posting this in the wrong section, but I know that your online and I need help now. So, i have some pictures that I want to use on my forum instead of the default ones for e.g New Post, Online, Expand etc. How do i go about putting them in?
