1.   Code you put in your header?
2.   They work best when they are an .ico file and named "favicon.ico"
(Yes they CAN be other file formats  (gif/png) but .ico files work best)
If you are NOT using an .cio file read the second post in the Guide from that link - it tells you how you
      should do the code.
3.   What browser are you using?    Some deal with favicons better.
Those using firefox are probably seeing it fine.
Internet Explorer has a habit "sometimes - depends on version/OS too" of dropping
favicons on and off.   (Google "favicon issues with IE)
Use of an .ico file named favicon is the best way to prevent problems.
If you replace the favicon the new one will not automatically show up.
(again:  use Google to find out about favicon issues)

Then go to your forum again, this time using the bookmark/favorite
