Hmm really messed up my forum lol

I am the forum administrator, i changed my name and email address to reflect my new game name, and now it wont let me log in and for some reason doesnt send me a password reset to my email address, even though it confirms that the email is correct.

I am the only admin on the site..  anyone have any ideas on how to sort this one out, or could SMF please check my forums for me plz, ty

(btw i still know the admin password, but have no admin account which to access that part of the forums )

Try to log into it with your old username? It my log you in with that but show as your new.

yep tried it, says my old name is not a registered user

Lol you'll probably just need to wait for SMF. By the way, you could of just changed the Username others see and keep you main username.

Yes i had changed both, with hindsight i wouldnt have bothered if i had known the problems it would cause

Reset the first user on the forum to the original signup email address.

still not sending any emails.. even tried entering my email address in the gorgot password to ensure that it was the correct one, says sent mail, but none arrives. Must be a fault

try logging in under your first account again and see if that works:)

Tried original name, doesnt recognise it, and yes i checked junk, still nothing

Interesting. I am trying to track down a problem with my email also.  What service are you using?  I don't need your entire name, just gmail, yahoo, etc.
