Help with adding smilies (kim or crazy please try to help)

hi, i just downloaded a smily set and i was wondering on how to ad the smiles, please post if u know how

first you need to rename those smileys to the exact same names as the ones that are on your forum, then upload them to a "sub" folder on photobucket.

Follow this guide step by step and it will show you how to get them swapped out.

Keep in mind, you dont have as many smileys on your forum as the forums on server 1 have. If you want em all, which I think is 31, follow this guide first, then go to the one I posted above.

Kim, i did that, the second link and it shows this when i save the new smiley set tabs

An Error Has Occurred!
Unable to import smiley set. Either the directory is invalid or cannot be accessed.

It worked other than the embarassed, why isnt the embarassed working?

That embarrassed one has not ever worked  (dunno why)    You can always make one of your own and name it embarrassed.gif

Yeah, several people have told me that they have gotten that same error when they first install those. I received it as well on one of my test sites, but the smilies seem to still install ok. It appears to just be a fluke, kind of like the one that members receive when they first atempt to register. They are given an error as if it didnt go through, but in actuality, they are registered and can log in if they go back to the homepage.

As for the embarrased  smiley, your probably seeing a red x which in most cases means that image is no longer no longer in that folder. As long as you have one in your photobucket folder with the same exact name, that one will appear in its place. If you dont want to put one there, youcan simply make it "hidden" on the Edit Smileys page and then the red x will not appear when people make posts.

that smiley works now.
There were two embarrassed smileys...  spelled differently... one worked, one did not. 
That has been fixed now so both can be used/replaced
