Quite Latley I have been on the Lookout of Hackers  :police: because I have been woried about my site being Hacked quite Latley.

I had saw a Guest looking at a Member's Profile page, and i checked the IP Address on the Guest to see if he/she was a Member. The Guest was not a member, so he/she could of not timed out.

The IP Address is 69.163.41.13

If you don't want guests to view your member profiles, you can change their permissions. You can just deselect that option for them.

That IP, if you toss it in Google, does come up as some acne treatment advertiser.

And there's pretty much no way to "hack" the forum..... sooo... I think you're pretty safe on that ;)

There is a way to hack the forum... If they find out your password, they can change anything on the forums... including your password. So becareful!

Not really a hack. But more of a poor job of security on the administrators part ;)

Or if you have other administrators on the forum. They can boot you out.


You change guest permissions by going to Admin CP > Permissions

Keep in mind that if you are root you are protected from being banned, removed from Admin, or deleted.


Hacking is nothing to fear ESPECIALLY on this system. The "hacking" you hear is 95% of the time another admin giving someone else admin access to edit everything on the forum.
